I took my 3yo boy to Maker Faire and he could not get enough… made a kite… made a smiley face necklace… watch people launch rockets and watermelons…. and the coke/mento guys were there doing their thing. If you get a chance to go to Maker Faire, take it!

This is an idea I've thought of before. I'd love to get receipts on my phone because for green reasons and because it would be a better way of keep records (which Jen demands). A smart entrepreneur should be working on this.

You may have read the op-ed in Wired the predicts the decline of blogging (not research based). Forrester's newly released Social Technographic forecasts the opposite (research based) — and here's Josh Bernoff's summary. Forrester likely fielded its research prior to the near crash of our economy and our optimism. I feel like the adoption of social media will only increase in a downmarket. People with time and less money to spend will depend more on social media for their networking and information.

Dell is the 2008 Society for New Communications Research's Brand of the Year. The Brand of the Year is awarded to the organization that made the most significant advances in utilizing new communications and social media tools, technologies and practices. Since we worked closely with Dell on their social media strategy and projects I'm going to proclaim us "Social Media Agency of the Year."

This is deeply concerning to say the least. I know newspapers are in trouble, and I expected a few major local papers to go through restructurings in the coming months. But I believed the NY Times would be able to weather the storm. It may be worse than I realize.
