Good post on the reality of virtual worlds, and I agree on Nick Wilson’s points. I view virtual worlds as a warm-up to the 3-d web which will be a lot more fun and engaging than the current web.

Per the previous link on 3-d web, Amazon is already taking some baby steps toward 3-d e-commerce with this program. It’s possible today for a student to be able to “walk in” to this environment and try everything out, virtually.

Yeah, it’s been known for a while now that Alexa’s methodology is spotty.
