Nice piece on open source by Howard Anderson. He says CIOs’ real goal is to drive down the cost per transaction, and he is right. So CIOs should love open source. Howard says it “scares the crap” out of them. That’s what I’ve observed first hand, too.

YouTube is experimenting with inline ads, showing a text ad at the bottom of its player as a video is playing. Question, YouTube: How can a brand avoid having ads inserted into its videos? Something tells me the answer is $$$$. Stay tuned for change.

Wada Nanahiro is a genius animator. I especially like this game which captured about 15 minutes of my attention. If I could play the piano I’d still be at it. Check it out, but also check out his other work. Thanks, Wooster Collective.
