Logan Bennett Walker Christened Today

My (almost) 2-year-old son Logan was christened today at Christ Church in Greenwich, Conn., by the Rev. Jeffrey Walker.
My wife Jen attended Christ Church growing up. Logan seemed to find Rev. Walker and the whole occasion highly interesting.

Afterwards, he wanted to go swimming. Those of you who know him will not be [...]

Prepare For A Videocast Explosion On YouTube

YouTube quietly added a feature today that will send video on the net into hyper growth.  The feature is called “Quick Capture” and it lets users record videos directly to YouTube from webcams plugged into their computers (Ars Technica broke the story).
You can get a webcam at Walmart for $20 to $40.  They’re really easy [...]

Hey, Jim: A 3-D RSS reader. More evidence that the web is going 3-D? Sounds sort of gimmicky and kind of cool, too.

My mother sent me this. Pew’s research says only about 32 percent of 65+ adults use the Internet. My mom continually makes me feel this number is low. She has a mailing list of a couple hundred people in that demographic who e-mail sites like this to e

Yahoo Employees Back Their CEO

Yahoo had an all-hands (e.g., internal) meeting and some of the employees – like J-Strizzle — are blogging about it.
Very cool.
Sharing the CEO’s remarks at an internal meeting with the external world via your blog is probably well covered by the confidentiality clause in Yahoo’s code of ethics.  My guess is this is a no [...]

Bloggers Let Texas State Rep Have It…

A couple weeks ago I mentioned a prefiled bill in the Texas Senate that would extend Texas libel laws to blogs. Bloggers have been attacking State Representative Vicki Truitt (R-Keller) ever since. They feel the bill is too broad and they let Truitt know that in no uncertain terms. This article appeared [...]
