As of August 2006, just over half of American adult internet users (51%) have taken virtual tours of another location online, up from 45% in a previous Pew Internet & American Life Project survey in November 2004. That translates to about 72 million people. Is this evidence that the web may go virtual or 3-D more rapidly that we expect?

Edelman, is under review by WOMMA for the creation of three fake blogs for client Wal-Mart, MediaPost reports. They might get kicked out, but I seriously doubt it. Edelman fixed the problems — they did the right thing. Now WOMMA is doing the right thing by reviewing the situation.

The annual lighting of the huge Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center is November 29, at 9pm (or 8:55pm) Eastern time. This year you’ll be able participate in a virtual tree lighting in Second Life, as well, courtesy of NBC Universal and the Electric Sheep Co. Flying around Rock Center and the tree will be a lot of fun.
