“Time Required” To Blog Is A Challenge

It’s been a week since I posted, and I’ve been feeling some angst.  Why?  My goal is to “take my own medicine” and post at least four times per week (and ideally more).  Like most enterprise bloggers, “time required” is one of my top challenges.  Oh, I have a whole database full of excuses:  I’ve been on the road for a week meeting clients, prospects and GCI teams in NYC, SF and Dallas, while managing important current projects and commitments.  All my spare time was happily committed to my wife and 21-month-old son.  Needless to say, the days started really early and ended really late.  While I was able to read RSS feeds with my Blackberry during short breaks, I didn’t have the time or energy to post on The Zone Read.  “Time required” is one reason we often recommend team-written weblogs to our clients as a great way to start.  It’s easier to evolve one blog into more blogs if there is a surplus of energy and content.  The good news is I have a lot of ideas for posts as a result of my travels, and I will share them in the coming days and weeks.
